next week's bible reading (Gen. 1-5) stumpers.for your "in" family conversations & sly comments.
by prologos inyou may add many, but here are two:.
1) vegetation made on day 3, animals formed day 5,6, but- then.
in gen 2, man seems to be the primary creation, and vegetation and then animals were formed from the dust and brought to him to name them.

No more doubts for me! Good-bye JWN! We have THE TRUTH!
by DATA-DOG ini could go on and on about my personal journey over the last 2 years or so, but i don't need to.
everything i needed to hear to finally lay my doubts to rest happened on one meeting night.
it could only be divine providence.

The spirit (...) can be compared to the electric current that flows through a machine or an appliance.

. . . then why all the urgency — the talk about a matter of “life or death” — if the end is not immediate? It just becomes so obsolete with time advancing.
.
As per WT definition, any one dying before Armageddon will not be counted as belonging to the “Great Crowd”.
Just think about it!

Can a JW be accused of apostasy for just quoting scriptures?
by Island Man infor example, let's say an awake jw wanted to share ttatt about the true meaning of john 10:16, so he just posts on his facebook wall a couple passages of scripture with no commentary whatsoever - like this:.
"in answer he said: i was not sent forth to any but to the lost sheep of the house of israel.
- matthew 15:24.

It's like an elder quoting only the Bible as authoritative source during elder's meeting — it for sure raises a flag with them.

Glaring Mistake In RNWT And Todays WT
by piztjw intodays' wt had this sentence in one of the paragraphs....we know this because each of their individual names are indelibly written upon the 12 foundation stones of the heavenly new jerusalem.rev.
21:14.. the cross reference lists judas iscariot as one of the twelve.
so with one breath they have said judas was cursed as jesus betrayer, and yet in their rnwt they still cross reference him in the list of the twelve named foundation stones of nj.

Cross-referencing: The Original Quote (1879)

“We have sent out about 6,000 copies (...) of “Zion’s Watch Tower” as samples. This we cannot continue to do, because first, it is expensive, (...)”

From the beginning on it was all about money — no matter how they twist and turn it.

Disciplinary Actions
by Cold Steel induring a disciplinary procedure, what would the response be if you wanted representation?
an advocate?.
why don't they have a group of unbiased men, a prosecutor to present the case against you and an advocate that would represent the accused?

One touchstone to go by can be found in the 1979 "Commentary on the Letter of James" book, the colaboration effort by Ed Dunlap / Ray Franz. BTW, they never liked having that book quoted to them during elder sessions .

What was said during the 2011 District Convention:
.
Now the obvious question is, to what generation was Jesus referring and what does this have to do with Revelation chapter 6? Well, like Revelation, the generation that Jesus was referring to also consists of two groups of people whose lives would overlap. Group 1 of this generation discerned the sign of Christ's presence in 1914. But they weren't merely born in 1914 nor merely alive to witness the start of Christ's presence. They were spirit-anointed in or before 1914. Therefore, the generation Jesus referred to saw the start of the last days. The second group are those that will see the end of this system of things. As the first group grew older, the second group started to be born so that for a while the two groups overlapped one another - they were contemporaries of one another.
We might think of it this way. While we were in school, we were contemporaries with children of other ages who were also going through school. Even though our ages differed, we were collectively known as 'school age children.' We were all part of the same generation of students. Obviously the older ones finished their course, even while the younger ones were just starting out.
For how many years do school kids go to school together, max.?

Prepare for meetings??
by Jen1 indo you prepare for meetings?
if i go i spend a few minutes underlinging my books/watchtower.. i have noticed that those who do the micks especially notice when your stuff is not underlined, and comments are made after the meeting, not so gentle hints, about study and preperation!
in other words i am being told off, its usually the ones who are highly critical of everything i do, sometimes their whole family seems to be straining to see if my stuff is underlined, i know this because i heard the daughter to family wisper her watchtower is not underlined!.

For marked ones not allowed commenting:
Prepare by underlining the study material during the commenting sessions — hell of time saver.
